The Poeisis of the Self

We began with a joint project. One of us from the field of archiving and the history of contemporary dance practices, the other from studios, artisticistic processes and stages. Neither of us expected a conversion, but we both counted on common changes that would be more than welcome in the process. We surrendered to a common process that allows the formation of different dance and body fonts, in which the different phases of our common poiesis are manifested. The video was made in Rok Vevar’s study behind a desk in 2016 when the year-round research was underway for the performance The Poiesis of the Self.
